Originally from Allentown, PA (yep, like the Billy Joel song), Mallory grew up playing softball, skiing at Blue Mountain and cheerleading. She took her cheer skills to Syracuse University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in magazine journalism. Shortly after graduating, Mallory moved to NYC to work in media, covering fitness, nutrition and health. Over the past seven years, she's worked at AOL, Shape magazine and Family Circle magazine. Now, when she's not rooting for the ladies of Uplift, she spends her days as an editor at Life by Daily Burn.
After years of covering the fitness scene, trying new studios and writing workouts designed by other trainers (plus actually earning her personal trainer certification), Mallory decided to jump further into the workout trenches by joining Uplift's amazing team. The studio's message — strong women uplift each other — drew her in. The awesome, upbeat classes, seriously talented staff and overall positive vibes made her never want to leave.
What Uplifts her? Besides a good sweat session (because, of course!)... my family (aunt to seven nieces and nephews!), a girls weekend getaway, Justin Biebs acoustic performances and sparkling pinot noir. Put those last two together and I might call it heaven.
Her guilty pleasure?
Cold brew (coffee or beer, I'll take either). Pizza. The Bachelor. And SATC on repeat, from bed.
