Amanda moved to NYC 11 years ago from upstate NY to pursue a career in fashion design. Running and physical activity always provided her with balance and time to connect to herself, and remained a constant in Amanda's life amidst many life changes. After a few running injuries, Amanda started practicing yoga and eventually began teaching yoga full time here in NYC. The physical and mental benefits of yoga have been profound for Amanda, yet she found herself struggling with different injuries and instabilities in her body through yoga practice alone. In 2013 Amanda began cross training, and eventually found Uplift. She credits strength and resistance training for helping her to feel stronger and more steady than she ever has! Amanda is excited to share her experience and her passion for movement with the incredible community at Uplift!
What Uplifts her? Spending time with strong women who are inspiring others to live a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally, and spending time with my 9 month old son Benjamin!
Her guilty pleasure? Chocolate and coffee of course!
